If you want the whole list go to January's and May's posts. I thought I would just list my top 7 thru August with their rating and continue on the rest of the year on this post. Here is how I rate them (generally)
1 - worst album of the year
2 - regretted listening to it once
3 - worth one listen
4 - one good song
5 - two to three good songs
6 - four good songs
7 - five good songs
( 8-10 are worth buying)
8 - six good songs
9 - seven good songs
10 - instant classic
I still feel nothing yet released has been "buy-worthy". It still is cost effective to purchase individual songs. I would recommend which songs to buy, but that is all personal taste - as are these reviews.
Top 7 so far
And now for September music...
She sounded like a young Rebecca St. James to start with but she couldn't decide if she wanted to sing CCM or mainstream
Lead singer from Sanctus Real decides to put out a melancholic album. Warning from OB/GYN General. May cause depression
Jump 5 grows up! Unfortunately, so do kittens
Another 2011 big disappointment
This and the above (Thrice) - non melodic Christian Rock
Christian Raggae/R&B. Really good
2011 best new artist of the year hands down. Buy this one and give it away to every young girl you know
A masterpiece. Just wish more of the songs were "Christian"
This is why I listen to Christian music
Or if you go to a Baptist Church - 10
The above 3 are very artsy - fit for a coffee shop. Sara Groves is the best but just not my "cup of tea"
If you want a boy band try Anthem Lights or Royal Taylor
She got voted off NBC's "The Sing Off". Need I say more
Just have never gotten into Phil. Don't know why
Some good songs here
