Kids Devotion - Anxiety, worry, fear

1. Watch the video.
2. Why was Doug worried? Were his fears justified? How did Doug react to his fears?
3. Websters defines anxiety as ; an abnormal and overwhelming sense of apprehension and fear often marked by physiological signs (as sweating, tension, and increased pulse), by doubt concerning the reality and nature of the threat, and by self-doubt about one's capacity to cope with it. Put that in your own words.
What are you afraid of? Have you ever been afraid of a situation and then when it was over you realized there was nothing really to be afraid of? Discuss it.
4. Read 1Kings 19. http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1Kings%2019&version=NIV Elijah had just won a great victory on Mt. Carmel and the people rallied around God and killed all the prophets of Baal. Immediately after that Elijah became scared to death of what? Was his fear justified? Why or why not?
What 2 things helped Elijah thru his anxiety?
5. Tell your parents about something you are worried about and turn it over to God. Watch and see how God takes care of it.
